Ellen is one of our behind the scene lawyers who works on drafting hearing requests that maximize our clients chances of settlement or prevailing at a hearing.

A native Upper West Sider, Ellen has spent most of professional life in the field of education, as a classroom teacher in the New York City public schools and administrator at Baruch and Hunter Colleges.  Seeking to expand her involvement in public and human interest concerns, Ellen attended CUNY Law School, from which she graduated in 1997. She first worked in the Law Offices of Regina Skyer in 1998 and returned in 2009 on a part-time basis to support the litigation process, primarily in the preparation of requests for impartial hearings and other documents.  Ellen is also a licensed massage therapist and in that capacity has volunteered at a children’s hospital in Cambodia and an orphanage in Ethiopia training staff to incorporate therapeutic touch into their daily care of children, infants through teens.
