Heather Mendez is an attorney at the Law Offices of Regina Skyer & Associates, where she advocates for families navigating the special education system. Heather earned her J.D. from Boston College Law School, where she focused on education law and disability rights. During law school, she was selected for the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital, a nationally recognized program that deepened her commitment to interdisciplinary approaches in supporting children with developmental challenges.

Heather completed her undergraduate studies at CUNY – Queens College, where she graduated with honors. Her background combines legal expertise with a strong foundation in public service and child advocacy, making her a dedicated and compassionate voice for the students and families she serves.
