
Ashley Sobel is the Director of Operations at SkyerLaw, bringing more than 20 years of leadership experience in education management, business operations, and organizational development. She oversees firm-wide operations, human resources, and compliance, and partners closely with senior leadership to support strategic planning and team development.
Before joining SkyerLaw, Ashley served as Executive Director and equity stakeholder of Olive Treehouse Group, a network of boutique preschools in Brooklyn. In this role, she managed all aspects of operations, including staffing, curriculum development, compliance with city and state regulations and business strategy. She also worked directly with parents, educators, and city agencies to ensure high-quality early childhood programming and support for children with diverse learning needs. Central to her educational philosophy was creating inclusive learning environments and acting as a resource and guide for families seeking to access support services for their children.
Ashley began her career in operations at Jennifer Miller Jewelry, where she directed multi-location retail management, vendor relations, and new store development. She later served as Director of The River School, overseeing a 200-seat childcare program in Manhattan and leading a team of 40 educators.
Ashley earned her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Columbia University’s Teachers College and holds New York State Teacher Certification. She graduated magna cum laude from New York University with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications.
Although she was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Ashley has been a New Yorker for the entirety of her adult life. She lives in Brooklyn with her wife, three children and their Cavapoo, Gertie.
