Caitriona’s interest in special education law began during her undergraduate studies at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, where she minored in Child Advocacy. While in college, she completed several internships focused on child advocacy and the law, including at the Children’s Law Center, Bronx Family Court, and Hillside Children’s Center.
After graduation, Caitriona worked as a paralegal in the matrimonial department at McLaughlin & Stern, LLP, and later at Spencer Walsh Law, PLLC, where her passion for special education law continued to grow.
During law school, Caitriona participated in the Education Law Clinic and completed an externship with Queens Legal Services in the Education Department. She was also an active member of the Wilf Impact Center for Public Interest Law, where she authored her capstone paper on improving the integration of students with disabilities into mainstream classrooms.
