
Cynthia joins SkyerLaw from the New York City Department of Education, where she focused on appellate matters within the Special Education Unit. After earning her law degree, she began her career in corporate finance before transitioning to the public sector. In 2012, Cynthia joined the Department of Education’s appellate group, where she spent more than a decade handling complex special education appeals.
In 2025, Cynthia left City service to join SkyerLaw, seeking to more directly support families and students with special needs through individualized legal advocacy.
Cynthia has also served as an adjunct professor at both Cardozo School of Law and Fordham School of Law, where she taught legal writing. She earned her undergraduate degree from Vassar College and her J.D. from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University.
A lifelong New Yorker, Cynthia raised two children in the city and continues to live in New York with her husband.
