Before becoming an attorney, Kerry taught in New York City public schools as part of the NYC Teaching Fellows program. She earned her bachelor’s degree magna cum laude from Syracuse University, where she majored in Policy Studies with a focus on education policy.
When she enrolled at New York Law School, Kerry knew she wanted her career to center on advocating for children with disabilities. She took specialized coursework in special education law and participated in the school’s Civil Rights Clinic. Since graduating in 2012, Kerry has dedicated her practice to representing students with disabilities throughout New York City and its surrounding suburban districts.
Kerry is admitted to practice law in New York, as well as in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
Kerry lives in Washington Heights with her husband, daughter, and their dog, Ginsburg. When she’s not in a hearing, she enjoys spending time outdoors and going on family hikes.
