Mary Park is a dedicated special education attorney. She began her legal career in corporate litigation before transitioning to public service, where she served in the New York City Department of Education’s Special Education and General Practice divisions. In that role, Mary advised on compliance, policy, and litigation involving complex and high stakes matters, giving her a unique perspective on how the system operates and how families can effectively advocate for their children.
Mary’s commitment to this work is deeply personal; as a parent of a neurodivergent child, she understands firsthand the challenges families face and is passionate about ensuring that every child has access to an appropriate education. This dual perspective, both as an attorney and as a parent, guides her advocacy and fuels her determination to secure meaningful supports for her clients.
Mary holds a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and earned her J.D. from Boston University School of Law.
In addition to her practice at SkyerLaw, Mary serves on the Board of Trustees of LearningSpring, a New York State–approved nonpublic school, where she chairs the Committee of Trustees.
She lives in New York City with her husband and two children.
