Ricki’s interest in special education law began during her undergraduate studies at Towson University, where she majored in Deaf Studies. While in college, she interned with an organization through the Maryland School for the Deaf, designing and leading presentations to educate parents on laws affecting their children’s education. She also volunteered at the Hussman Center for Adults with Autism, supporting community programs such as dance and cooking classes.
Ricki earned her J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law in 2019. During law school, she served as Fundraising Chair for the Public Interest Center and as Executive Notes and Comments Editor for the Journal of Civil Rights and Economic Development. After graduation, Ricki began her career as a litigator, gaining valuable experience in advocacy and client representation.
In 2022, Ricki joined the SkyerLaw team and has since dedicated her practice to representing students with disabilities and ensuring they receive the educational services and supports they deserve.
Ricki lives on Long Island with her husband, son, and their dog, Zeus. In her free time, she enjoys running and spending time at the beach with her family.
